Obvious those who bring the bible up and say they hate gays haven't read Matthew 7:1-5.

Matthew 7:1-5 wrote:“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. "

In other words it's saying not to judge others, for it may be sin to be gay or lesbian, but we don't have the right to judge them for it. For to God sin is sin. Doesn't matter how small or how big. Just because the bible tells us not to do something, doesn't mean we have the right to hate people for doing it. The New Testament teaches us not to judge. A lot of Christians still have yet to learn this verse.

I feel for you Julie. You can't control who you love, because love is love. Though that love may be misguided I'll support you despite so. :)

Tora, I know you mean well, and I appreciate the support, but "misguided" is kind of a rude and inaccurate word to use. Misguided either means "1 poorly conceived or thought out; 'an ill-conceived plan to take over the company'" or "2 wrong in e.g. opinion or judgment; 'well-meaning but misguided teachers'; 'a mistaken belief'; 'mistaken identity'." Something one has no control over cannot be misguided. And as far as I'm concerned, the only way loving someone could possibly be called "misguided" would be if that person was treating you like crap or had led you along and you knew it or something along those lines.

I don't care if people say it's a sin, essentially everything is considered a sin, and as far as I'm concerned, "sin" is a made up concept anyway. But saying it's misguided makes it sound like it's a belief, or something else we can control, and that it will be bad or harmful to us in some way, and that is just not the case at all.

Yes you're right "misguided" may not be the accurate word, but I meant it in no rude manner. I'm only trying to say that what you feel is real yes, and there is nothing you can do about it, but it still isn't right in my eyes. Not to say that I don't want to see you happy. You go with who you choose to be with. That is your choice and your will. I'm not judging you or telling you not to be who you are. Love who you love, and be who you are. ;)

It's what the holy bible tells us. That's all Image

Like Tora said, it's all up to you and everyone else, whether you would like to follow it in your life, or not.

I always thought sin was short for sin-sational. Everything seems better that way. xD
