lions can crush our bones and rip a small child to pieces, because they are also cats

I was referring to domestic pet cats. Dogs have been domesticated for thousands of years, from wolves, yet they are still capable of immense violence and killing. As for Lions, they are of course wild animals and so it is in their blood to slaughter in such a manner. Dogs will have this instinct too somewhere from the wolves, obviously not as much but still.
Domestic cats are able to hurt children of course, but it's unlikely that the baby would be left alone with a cat and even if it was attacked it would likely survive but have quite a few nasty scratches. Countless vicious dogs have got loose and killed children without second thoughts.
I didn't say all dogs were dangerous, yours was not, and it is usually the owners fault if a dog goes bad. Lions are not exactly unpredictable, they pretty much do exactly what is expected of them. Which is why one should never take on a wild cat as a pet because they are still killing machines.
When I wrote that post I was talking about little domestic cats that can do little damage. Dogs kill on average 26 people per year, which has jumped up considerably since the 1970s. Only 4 children have been killed by captive big cats. 43 have been mauled. 4.7 % of americans are estimated to be bitten by dogs per year in the US. Not as bad as being mauled but if those dogs are pets, and the big cats are pets [but they shouldn't be of course] which is worse? 4 million is a lot of people and I'm sure that adds up.[/quote]
well, the owners should be blamed. and theres bad meat everywhere, even in the dog-world. and it might be true that dogs can be more dangerous then cats indeed. but still, dogs don't get enough credit for all the things they do for us, which cats DON'T. lol sure, dogs kill more people each year, but on the other hand, dogs are also very protective over children. especially rottweilers. dogs have also rescued children and even babies in some cases, which I have NEVER heared a cat do before. I seriously doubt a cat would protect or even be able to save a kid.
and basically, you can teache a dog almost ANYTHING, lol. for a cat, one simple trick to learn might take one whole year. dogs learn quickly, and heck, they are VERY intelligent. more intelligent then we even know. and they are also the friendliest animals on the planet. cats on the other hand, can be often very grumpy and might even scratch their owner.
dont take this the wrong way XD
