Personally I'd recommend not stressing yourself too much over 'what ifs'. Just try your best to cope with the situation (whether it be books/films/etc, whatever makes you happy) and see if you can get a source of income to work towards moving out if your first-choice college option doesn't work out, and figure out what to do from there once you get to that point.
