People who are well off and broadcast everything they do/buy ALL over Facebook. And when they do something charitable they think they are the most amazing person ever, but are only really doing it to say 'Oh look at me and how nice I am' as they also feel the need to post that all over the town facebook page. Ugh. If you do something charitable, why broadcast it everywhere? Just be content knowing yourself that you've done a good deed. Know a handful of people like this and it really irritates me.

^ That is annoying, I'm glad I don't really have to deal with that sort.

As for me... I'm in a lot of discomfort presently, and it really doesn't help that my hand and my knee are both acting up. I feel kinda rubbish.... and yet the discomfort is preventing sleep. :notagain:

I left high school in 2014 because if I didn't, I would've killed myself. I had to make that decision to ensure I could be well again. But it really sucks knowing that I have to be lonely as a result of it.

It helps knowing that this is all a facade and once they leave high school, none of them will stay friends. I'm hoping that is the case with one of my friend's friend group because I know they aren't good for him, especially my ex. Yet I still can't help but feel like I'm missing out on so much. I hate this.

Honestly never went to any high school parties or anything, they seemed to attract some of the worst kinds of people so I don't think you're missing anything really noteworthy. :)
I really think it's better to have a smaller group of friends that you can have a far closer friendship with that loads of friends that you aren't particularly close with.

@lelizwe, I agree with Shadowfax and Simbaholic. I never had loads of friends either and parties always made me uncomfortable. Being with some people you're close to is much nicer than spending time with many people who are pretty much just acquaintances.

Really? I need my rest, but that stupid "free trip for two to the Bahamas" recording calls and disrupts it... :pout:

Thanks for the reassurance, guys <3 I will admit that having dropped from a friend group of about 8, in which I only had 2 people who I could honestly call close friends, to going to having 4 friends who I speak to regularly and actually make a real effort to maintain a close relationship with is... pretty revealing. I've realised that the friendships I had in the 'big' group were almost entirely forced, aside from those two I mentioned. It's just unfortunate that the reason I had to leave that friend group is because of one of the 2, who I dated briefly and had to cut ties with because I realised how awful she was, hates my guts. Ending her relationship meant ending the relationship with the rest of the group who practically worship her, aside from the other close friend I had there, who I am still in close contact with, despite the fact that my ex is determined to end our friendship out of spite. It doesn't help that he doesn't make a lot of effort to see me irl either. This causes me a lot of anxiety since I barely have friends as it is - but I am still stuck in the mentality that more is better, rather than having 1 or 2 who I can really trust.

Thankfully I do have the latter, but it's hard getting out of this mindset that I NEED to have a big group and I NEED to be invited to parties every weekend because that's what everyone else is doing. I hate it so much and I wish I could grow up and out of it, but it's proving to be so difficult. I'm not used to being lonely like yet. I'm not surprised, though, a year hasn't even passed yet since I had to drop contact. But it sucks. It sounds like a typical teenage drama, I know, but it really sucks.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't have any friends who were more than acquaintances until I was 20. Not only that I have around 15-20 people I might consider friends now, and I'm only close to about 2-4 of them. None of them live anywhere near me (well, I guess Tora lives somewhere near me) and I don't really trust any of them fully. (Not because of anything they did, or anything.) I often go days on end without hearing from anyone at all.

I'm kind of a loner though, so it doesn't bother me much most of the time.

This probly doesn't help, huh? Oh well, I tried.
