I woke up this morning to find a police car parked in the driveway. It just so happens that an hour before, my dad was out running with my sister, and he got struck by a car.

That's not the problem. The problem is the mirror on said car is now broken, and a police report is being filed against my dad for property damage.

It's a crazy world we live in.

He got hit by a car... and the guy who hit him is filing a report against him for breaking a mirror? I hope the guy enjoys losing his money since he was the one at fault.

That depends on what the sheriff thinks. And guess what? He's a moron. The officer's response was that my dad shouldn't have been running in the road. Isn't it absurd?

I absolutely HATE being female right now! Stupid monthly visitor...

That is indeed quite absurd. The Sheriff seems to forget that it's a deadly vehicle Vs. a person running. The Vehicle is almost always the much bigger issue.
