Well, I'd say some skills, money and lots of patience.
But, honestly, it's easier to make one than it seems. It's pretty cool seeing your character coming to to life! But, if you live in a warm place, you've got a little problem there...

As for me, I have no idea how to sew or anything like that...
But I could take a class, since I volunteer for five hours a week at the UC Davis Craft Center and I get a free class every quarter in exchange for that. The facilities there are really nice.
Personally, I think I'd like to learn how to make plush animals, since I love those. But costumes might be neat, too, I guess... haha.

Yeah, I'm attending a convention this weekend and, hopefully (if I finish it), I'll be able to take my fursuit, for the first time ever.
Oh, you should try it out! I get help from my mom, but sewing's not that hard...I'm just seriously clumsy. I approve of plush animals. I'd love to learn to make those.
