It's my first time reading them. I've recently got into the movies and decided to give the books a try, especially since books are usually better than their movie adaptations.

I'd definitely personally say the books are better, if you're fine with the heavy amounts of violence. If you ever wanna read a similar novel, and/or watch a similar movie, I'd give Battle Royale a try. They're much more violent and obscene but are a great story with great characters and great developement of everything. lol

^ I must admit that I'm not a big fan of violence, but I just had to read the books. And thanks for the suggestion! I had honestly never heard of that one and I love story lines like the one of THG. I'll check it out!
