Well, they could be intelligent but they might not be advanced enough like us. And the ones that are intelligent enough would still not be able to go everywhere because the universe is a big place.
Ahh right ;) Gottcha I thought you ment these aliens http://www.newanimal.org/alien_asgard_stargate.jpg but yes there must be more planets with life ;)
sorry for bringing this up but, nothing travesty faster than the speed of light, correct? Light will travel at 300000000 m/s in a vacume (space) we can send a message on a wave, which will travel at the speed of light, to a system out there. At the speed of light, a single wave would have to travel 3779520000000000m to get to the system, they would then have to send the message back the same 3779520000000000m. Each way that's a total time of 125798400 seconds, making a minimum time of 251596800 seconds, without the time to think of a reply, and decifer our message. Now although that's only about 8 years, we didn't send a message to them some 4 lightyears away, we sent on to a galaxy over 150 light years away, so we'll be lucky to get a reply by the year 2500 if not later.

However I do believe there is life out there, at about the same tech level as us, so we won't get a reply for a long time yet.

(( my math may be slightly out ))

I do not believe in aliens. Though I think I believe in ghosts. I study them almost as much as I study Scar  Honestly, I studied aliens to for a while, and there's always a logical explanation for the 'proof' in the videos or pictures.

I definately believe they exist. It might be because I enjoy science a little more then most here, but I think there are most likely planets beside ours that can support life, and there might even be some that have lifeforms that are more intelligant then us.

Other planets/civilizations

Postby SimbasMate » May 18th, 2011, 10:14 pm

When I look at the stars at night, I always think of other worlds. (WAY too much Kingdom Hearts) But seriously, do you think that there could be other civilizations out there beyond the earth, stars and universe? Science has proven that there are other planets that exist, but no civilization on them. There could be on Mars, but they don't know that for sure because their proof only exists in photographs from robot rovers they have sent up there. Who knows.. there could be other planets and other people out there, that have no idea if WE even exist or not..

Am I not the only one who thinks this? We can never know for sure.

It's selfish to think that we are alone in the universe. Considering scientists estimate there is 15 billion stars for every one person on Earth, and who knows how many planets, there is certainly other life out there somewhere, but I doubt it will ever come to Earth, after all, we are naught but one tiny planet [Especially pitted against the size of some Stars etc] and out Solar System is tiny, lol
As for life beyond the universe, who knows? We can hardly see very far with out technolodgy, so no-one knows xD
