Although I think all these prophecies and theories are very interesting, I personally don`t believe that the world will end in 2012.
I don`t think anything will happen, really...
Our world/planet has existed for millions and millions of years, it`s not suddenly gonna end in two years.

Actually, I believe dinosaur bones proved it's like 2.5 billions years old or something like that. The year 2010 is means 2010 years AD, I believe. There were also times before that.
