Aaaw Soph, therapy doesn't work for everyone. If it's making you feel worse, maybe see if you can try a different route?

I like going for a long bike ride when I feel like that. The exercise, views of the ocean etc are all great escapisms and head cleaners.
My point here is that everyone has their own way of dealing with things, if someone recommended therapy and it isn't working then try to find something that DOES work for YOU.
Though in my experience, therapy does work, just not immediately. Like anything else, you have to keep working at it.
The one thing that can always calm me down and escape from my troubles.
