You can make a movie based on a license intended to sell products and have it be meaningful. The lego movie made me overemotional by the end. I mean I was crying, and not because the movie was terrible... Pretty much the opposite.

The angry birds film does not seem to be that way.

^ I think I must've only seen the teaser, then. Because I remember thinking 'huh, the animation looks okay... maybe they won't screw up'. But I'm still highly suspect of the idea, to be honest. It's far more likely that it will flop. I mean, does anyone really want to see a movie based off a pop culture iPod application from like... 2009... that barely has any story behind it as it is? Seems unlikely.

And Lego Movie was pretty good, I guess. Wouldn't say that it was the best thing ever, but it's entertaining, at least.
