Wow! copper theft :s
yeah, it hasn't happened down our road, but in very close proximities. that's actually the reason some people in our area were without power longer than me from the snowstorm. some idiots got the bright idea to rob the copper while there was no electricity to endanger their lives. then some people on fourwheelers robbed the equipment from the power company that they were going to use to fix the power in one area, because the equipment also had copper in it.
The power in my house
used to go out weekly. I guess either they fixed the crappy equipment somewhere or busted the meth lab LOL jk jk...
I don't think that a meth lab turning on all the lights would affect anything in the electricity like your option lol....but now if one blew up and fried a powerline that had the breaker, then several houses would be out

meth's a pretty bad probably in our area, but it hasn't had any affect on electricity
The longest time I was without electricity was like 3 day
the longest I've been without electricty was 8 days I think, and that was just back at Christmas from that big snow. I can't remember how long it was out during a similar snow storm in 1997, but I think that one was only 5 days actually.
:o Wow, that’s a long time! Being without electric light is one thing, but I would have died if I was unable to use the microwave or get on the computer.

I’m so pathetic.

lol, you'd be surprised at how it's not as bad as you think. of course, we have a cookstove that just uses wood in an outside room and a propane grill to cook food (even my frozen microwave meals lol). chimichangas are actually pretty good oven-cooked. we also had a car radio running off a car battery my dad had in the basement to replace the tv and computer for entertainment. I actually enjoyed myself just fine without it that whole week lol.
