I'm afraid of losing my cat :(

Shots don't bother me. I don't have to have them as often as you do, Zeke, but when I do its really not that bad for me. I guess if the doctor came into the room with a HUGE needle and started cackling I'd have to wonder about the clinic, but that usually doesn't happen.

My biggest fear is the ocean, mostly because of what's in it. I first watched Jaws when I was about 5 years old (maybe younger) and after seeing that I've never felt safe in the water.

Another one is drowning, I had a near-death experiance a few years ago with drowning (I got pulled into a sinkhole).

But it's like looking down into the grave of your love, or kissing the mouth of a gun, a bullet trembling in its dark nest, ready to blow your head off.

Everyone's afraid because of the BS shark stories that you get from movies like Jaws... that's why... i swam about 100 Ft from were they had caught 2 sharks...but i got right back in .... it was cool... Granted, i'm not afraid of death... so it didn't bother me.

Sharks are actually one of the things I would like to study 8-) But really, Jaws is a bunch of BS. The great white is not the shark responsible for the most deaths, its the tiger and bull sharks.

But back on topic. I think being eaten alive would also be amongst one of my greatest fears even though I wouldn't have to worry about it too much. Its hard to even imagine it :disgust:

Okay I know that Jaws is a bunch of BS but that doesn't mean somebody can't be afraid of sharks in general. And I guess I'm afraid of the ocean is because I can't swim! so it's not (entirely) because of some BS movie or what could be in the ocean, it's because if I fell off a boat into the ocean or something like that (Unless someone else was there) I would drown!

Personally, I fear the ocean because you don't know what to expect. You're just there... alone and cold, and the only thing you can see below you is darkness, and the only thing to see around you is more scary sea.

the ocean doesn't seem scary to me, lol. I'm more concerned about the high-level toxic waste disposed in it and several countries' waste disposals :disgust: sharks are cool. I've been within striking range of venomous snakes so I'm not really afraid of deadly animals.....I just have respect for the fact that they can kill me :P
