Hm... maybe I should not be posting because I'm not in college and have some years to go, but I've decided I'll likely take courses pertaining to animals, since-well, let's face it-my dreams of being in the film industry are simply unrealistic. I think learning and studying about animals and the natural world should be something that suits me well. Can anyone suggest to me some good classes to take? I need a lot of help with college, I barely know the basic structure of how a college works :S I can't take veterinary classes because I dislike the site of blood and it requires more calculus classes than usual, apparently. Can anyone suggest to this clueless cub any good classes that require minimal math and pertain to animals? Thank you ^^

This is actually why there aren't as many biologists as you'd think. Lots of people like animals, but few are willing to put in the effort required to take the more difficult classes. It's all part of the "well rounded" system of education. In reality, all it does is exploit people's weaknesses.

Believe me, it's a lot closer than you think. In the short time you've been a member of MLK, I've completed my four years of high school. You probably have two more years left, which might seem like a lot, but it really isn't. Heck, I've been a member here for almost half a year now (4 more days), and it still feels as if I just joined yesterday.

I'm starting in the fall at a four year university. Because of some government grants and a scholarship the college offered, I am able to get all of the tuition paid for, with some spending money for books and housing (I'm still deciding whether to live on campus). As for my career field, I honestly don't know. Even though I should^^ It will most likely be for journalism or business or computers.

Rutgers was actually my backup plan if I couldn't get the financial to apply to American (it's not cheap). I hear it's a nice school.

Lol... I just was doing my register to apply for the admission test on the university I WANT to study at, I can say I had been asleep while everybody was getting ready doing ther courses and stuff, studying, going to the universities to ask for the inormation and blablabla, I was like ''I'm gonna study more and wait for the next year'', but then I decided to do the test, you know, if I don't get to aply then it's a big deal, there will be other year, the point is to not lose time, but anyways, seems like my parents are that interested on me going to the university as soon as possible that they'll pay some person to let me go to another university >.<, on here, the universities for medicine are free, but they're a sort of mafia when they give the slots, since there're soe ones that sells them, and I really hope to get it by myself, even more since that university is farther yet, is ugly, and because of the selling slots thing, I'm sure it is losing a lot of prestige so i don't wanna reach the day i'm not aplying for a job because of it, but well... hopefully, i'm doing all my stuff well and getting my slot on this university more near to me, also i'd stay at my grandma's so it won't be that much of a problem that way..

Now i have this problem in despite of all what's written above, and it's that i'm not even sure about medicine >.<, I feel i can do it, I feel i can be a good doctor, and stuff, but... i would've liked to study biology, it's a shame how my country isn't as much prepared for that kind of career, and my other option was psychologist but i didn't pay so much attention to it and went with what would give me more status and stuff, so i hope you choose better, not because of the profit but filling your spectations since that may be what you'll be doing for the rest of your days....

I'd be really glad to post here if I aply for the university ^^, so i think i should go to study more =)

You may want to look into what schools offer zoology. That's what my younger sister did. She wanted to work with animals. She's now a zookeeper in NY. She still had lots of science classes to take, but she didn't have to dealwith blood and stuff. She paired it with psychology because she just really wound upliking those classes.

I'm in college at Northwestern OSU in Oklahoma. About to finish my junior year and it's cool!
I am also a big fan of: Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, musicals in general, Dr. Seuss in general and the Grinch.
