I love complex villians too. Which is why i love Frollo and Hanibal. There good and evil at the same time. Especially Frollo as he belives he is doing things right. I think he symbolises the hypercrtical blindness religion can have. T also think Frollo and Scar are very similar.
Why
there both very power hungry and are both swayed against there beliefs by a beautiful person.
Scar is swayed by Nala.

I wouldn't say Frollo is power-hungry in that sense because he already has power, unlike Scar who is pretty much a nobody. Frollo is just narrow-minded and overly critical towards anything or anyone different from himself. But the song "Hellfire" sort of shows that he does care about Esmeralda in a way, since he asks God to have mercy on her. That makes him extremely complex for a Disney villain, which is something I really appreciate.

Frollo (in the film not the book) though is power hungry as he always believes his work is being slowed down by the arch decon. like Scar is of Mufasa . And Frollo at the end kills the arch deacon much like Scar kills Mufasa

Are you talking about the Disney film lol? Or some other version? Because in the Disney version he's a judge with loooads of power. Plus he doesn't successfully kill anyone at the end.

he still has power in the book but he is the arch deacon. Also im not sure now if he did kill the arch deacon though he does throw him down a flight of stairs which is still quite dangerous

I love him because in JEL 2009, he was such a misunderstood character.
