I have asthma. So there are a number of things I'm severely allergic to. I grew up on a farm so I was used to helping out with harvest. As years went on I noticed I was having a hard time breathing after doing anything that involved grain. come to find out I'm allergic to grain dust. We found out after I helped a family friend clean out a grain bin. Between the mold and the grain dust I ALMOST ended up in the hospital. I was out of school for 2 weeks, on oxygen, taking antibiotic steroids, and puffing on an inhaler almost every 4 hours.
I was going to be a farmer just my dad but after that episode I decided I needed to revisit my career goals. So I decided to go into IT. That has it's own perils. Have you ever opened up your computer to find so much dust it looks as if the computer ingested a small animal? I have to wear a mask if I need to blow dust out of a computer otherwise I'm miserable for days afterwards.
I used to be allergic to milk but I've since outgrown that.
