Holland is a terrible country when it comes to criminality. Most people don't go out of their homes at evening, a few weeks ago I saw a robbery at clear day, in the middle of a supermarket. Holland becomes more and more like the American Bronx..... It's absolutely no fun to live here. I work as a social worker at an enclosed terrain, and I have to call the police almost weekly for young thug hanging out there making loud noise and hooligan [censored] they're doing.

btw SM, did you speak to Thani? cuz he didn't tell me about it... if so, it's no problem, just asking ;)

that's awful. I've only ever had one item stolen myself, some older kid took my jacket out of the lost and found in grade school (I don't know why, it was very small on them). here bike theft is very rare, they don't bring much really. but with the reasons Thani gave in his post, I can see the motivation used there to do such a terrible thing. it doesn't sound very fun there, if the criminal justice system is messed up and crime rates are so high.

well, I hope you guys can get Thani's bike back, or at least be able to find a replacement at a fair price.

That's awfull too, I cannot think of a reason why people would do that. The boss of my mother had surgery for a tumor in his head, and guess what? One day after that, burglars broke in to the factory via the roof and tried to steal stuff. When they found out that there was a burglar-proof alarm system in the office section, they left without taking anything. But well, just to let you know what kind of country Thani and I'm living in.....
