The answer is no, though it depends on what you mean "babyish". True, they act immature because they don't live a life of responsibility, and they are the comedic duo so depending on how well the writers handled it, the comedic antics was supposed to appeal to adults, as well as children. You're not too hypocritical since the comedy of the hyenas, in my opinion, is mostly wisecracks and physical humor (Banzai falling into the thorn bed is an example). They may hold up better as you age, which explains your liking. Timon and Pumbaa's comedy leans toward toilet humour and surreal humor (especially in 1½), as well as wisecracks.
