Um...is it wrong that I find Timon and Pumbaa babyish?

Um...is it wrong that I find Timon and Pumbaa babyish?

Postby EdtheHyena » November 17th, 2013, 8:03 am

I just find that I passed the age I was meant to appreciate these two at a LONG time ago...and just find them really lame...

...but I really like Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, who are nearly just as immature.

I guess it's because they are dark, and a---I personally find---a cooler species.

This doesn't sound hypocritical, does it?

The answer is no, though it depends on what you mean "babyish". True, they act immature because they don't live a life of responsibility, and they are the comedic duo so depending on how well the writers handled it, the comedic antics was supposed to appeal to adults, as well as children. You're not too hypocritical since the comedy of the hyenas, in my opinion, is mostly wisecracks and physical humor (Banzai falling into the thorn bed is an example). They may hold up better as you age, which explains your liking. Timon and Pumbaa's comedy leans toward toilet humour and surreal humor (especially in ), as well as wisecracks.

I don't see what's wring here. Everybody have their own tastes and preferences, and in your case you used to like T&P, but now you prefer the hyenas for some reasons. It is ok to grow up you know.
