Kovu and Scar's Manes

Has anyone else noticed that Kovu's and Scar's manes actually have more in common than it seems? The front of Scar's mane is sleeked back, but the front of Kovu's it spiked forward. However, as seen at least once in TLK 1, Scar's mane is blowing forward and you can see that his mane resembles Kovu's now, because his hair is spiked forward.

Pictures attached below show the similarity. I think it might be a coincidence for this to have been, but I just wanted to point out the fact and see what everyone else thinks about it.

It's no coincidence since Kovu was originally written to be Scar's son so the two would share similar physical characteristics even after it was written out. Anyway, nice find!
