And if you watch the ''Not One of us'' scene and the ''Exile'' scene, you'll see that Nala looks shocked that Kovu's exiled, and at the end of the movie she's like =)

LOL Simba looks more ''sneaky'' than Nala in this picture through...

It's also known that after the cub has reached a certain age, the mother wants to mate again, or so I've heard. So the Kovu + Nala = Cub theory must be right. XD

I have made a rough version of a family tree with cannon characters only.
I want to get everything right before making a more eloborate version and adding pictures.
It is very rough, but I tried to keep the same generation more or less on one line, except Nuka, Kovu and Vitani. They should have been lower.

What do you guys think of this one?
Have I made any huge errors?

interesting that you paired Vitani with Kovu biologically instead of Scar... Those kiddies have such hard to pin down parents lol

Interesting Family Trees.
So many different varients, plus interesting to see that Uru may have been Mohatu's cub compared to the usual male succession from Mohatu to Ahadi, to Mufasa, to Scar, to Simba.

However, it makes alot of sense..unless the Prideland laws of succession have changed over the generations to allow Kiara as Queen as Simba has no *alive* male heir.
Plus it's nice to see that, considering that it's a welcome change of male to male succession. Quite like the idea of Uru being the Queen of the Pridelands and Ahadi as her consort.

(I'm rambling again aren't I?;))

Well no. If you are basing the family tree on actual canon then no.
Perhaps in fanfiction world he is, but Kiara is the only heir to the throne.

I didn't make a difference between living and deceased members of the family in my family tree. I'll keep that in mind for the actual version (the one I posted was a rough version to get the facts straight).


I still have some questions:

What about Nala's father? I think I read somewhere that Scar wasn't her father, but then who is it? Is it even known officially?

Kovu and Vitani, are they actually litter mates? They seem similar in age. Who was their father?

The same with Nuka, who was his father?

What do you think about Uru being Mohatu's cub and Ahadi the rogue taken in, much like Kovu? This was not my own idea by the way. I read it somewhere and I like the idea very much.

And, lastly: any ideas on Mohatu's mate? Or are there only speculations? I have never seen any reference but maybe someone on here knows more.

I appreciate any answers/ideas, but I would prefer to keep the family tree canon. Fanfiction can be excellent and I like it, but in this case I want to keep it out.

Question 1: It's not known officially who Nala's father was. Disney forgot to give her a father. The best answer is that her father is a rogue.

Question 2: Probably, since they do seem like they're in the same age. Again, father is unknown.

Question 3: Disney says none of Zira's cubs are related to Scar in any way, but most fans still count Nuka as Scar's son.

Question 4: That's exactly what I think! =)

Question 5: Nothing official is known about Mohatu's mate. She's never mentioned in any of TLK media.
