Most officially it is Fluffy/Kiara as in basically there is only Fluffy, but when talking about the entity of the movie universe (minus the 1½ parody) Fluffy does have an official gender and name which is the girl Kiara as Kiara isn't even implied to have siblings.
I just can't believe so many so easily believe the popular fanfiction theory that SP's makers hide Kopa in the background story of their film. I mean come on - there is no way in hell professional film makers make a film without literally explaining or in the least mentioning everything essential to their story in the actual film. And if there was a loss of another cub it would not only be essential part of the story but crucial to the storyline. Thus, they would in the least mention it in the freakin' film but they didn't, thus there was never anyone else but Kiara in their storliney. It really isn't rocket science, all it takes is a thought to professional film making and common sense. Those people tend to use that only to stare at the changed design of the cub and ceremony which naturally isn't all there is to the film. It's only an animation aspect, the movie's lines and dialogs are far more essential.
Also I feel like questioning people who feel the need to explain Simba's over-protectiveness with fanfiction theories because they feel the film doesn't give reason enough, how much of a fan of the original The Lion King and its story are they? Because Simba's over-protectivness of Kiara is utterly and fully explainable by the entity of Simba's life story shown in the first film, or rather how it naturally would mold his personality and inner life. Naturally his entire life made him who he is in the sequel. Not just one or two big events in it but everything put together. Why do so many fail to grasp the fact of life that especially during sensitive years of life such as childhood and teenage years, everyhting that happens and doesn't happen to you, and your every choice, when mixed into what you'd need to happen - makes you who you are. That The Lion King isn't just black-and-whitely about finding your place in the Circle of Life which Simba in the end does, but it's also about the changes that can happen in life and how they affect you. About how even though you've found your place it doesn't automatically make you ready and able to live in it perfectly. There is no way Simba could've suddenly become an adult with a sense of sceurity and good father and wise king after the life he had gone through and lead for so long. That growing-up story is filled with several kinds of deeply psychologically affecting situations and years.
I wasn't trying to offend anyone or anything, so my sincere apologies if I did. I was just trying to make a point that all it would take to see the truth and allow the films to live up to their full potential is to stop and think and pay attention to the original film's story's depth. : D
If I didn't prefer Kiara because she is the only official cub with an actual identity and personality, I would prefer Fluffy because if something isn't official, I'd rather be original and creative all by myself instead of using someone else's fanfiction base.
