Nala's Father

Well if Mufasa WAS Nala's father, it could kinda explain the reason for Kiara's apparent ditsy moments.

Seriously though.

If Mufasa was Nala's father, then why would he betroth Nala and Simba when Lions rarely interbreed? -Kinda unitelligent of Mufasa to do this if that is so.
If Nala's Father was Scar/Taka, then it would perhaps explain the reason why she was spared when Scar assended the throne, because as we know from nature; when a new lion takes over a pride he kills all the cubs and drives away the male and occasionally female adolescents..for his own genes to be spread. Yet, if this is so..it doesn't explain why Scar would want Nala as his Queen in TLKoB. Unless Scar had totally lost his senses and felt that to maintain his royal line he would have Nala as his mate (in a way like the Egyptians did...but that was the female line who held the royal blood..).

However, since it is Disney...who make mistakes..don't think further through from just the actual plot of the movie...then Nala's sire could be from another Pride. Perhaps Sarafina was from another Pride? It does happen in the wild that a lioness can be driven away from her Pride..becomes a rogue..and may join another Pride. Or we can bring back the old theory that Nala's father is a rogue male.

Well... in a real-life Lion's pride, there will be only one male (usually, not always though), and that male mates with every female in the pride. So, it's not unlikely that Mufasa (or Scar) is Nala- and every other Lioness' father or brother or uncle or related to them somehow.
I watched a documentary once, where three male Lions took over a pride and shared the females- those three were brothers apparently, so it's very possible that both Mufasa and Scar mated with all the lioness' as said.

I would like to know more about Nala's father, whether it is Scar, Mufasa, or some other Lion. I mean, if we had a fourth film I'd like them to expand on her backstory...

well, actually of what I know, no one, no even the directors knows who is Nala's father

Maybe one of the subcanon characters could have been her father? Like King Joe, Mega, Leo or one of the others? Or the unnamed lions that are in the pic with Mufasa in one of my other topics. There are more than just the lions in the movies, so it could be possible that one of those subcanons is her father. Personally, I think Leo looks the most like Nala when it comes to coloring.

Although I personally believe that Scar is Nalas father, I dont think she says that because of her relation to Simba.

When Nala says "at least ONE of us does," she means that Simba should act more like Mufasa: Take responsiblity, be the King he’s meant to be.
