I think she really meant for them to kill Simba. After all, he was the only one she wanted to kill.

At first, I didn't understand either. Now, I know that Zira is referring to Simba. She's trying to tell the Outlanders to attack Simba if they got to him while fighting the lionesses.

hm, it would best be taken that way. It seems a bit odd that Disney would present it that way but that's for them to decide....

I think it's the same thing as when Timon says "get him, by the head" when Nala and Simba fight over Puumba. It's an expression.

There's nothing wrong with these lines. Zira obviously knows there is only one male in the Pride Lands (Besides Kovu) and she's just refering to lions in general. If you were fighting in an army and you were cheering them on, you wouldn't scream, "Break it's jaw!" And as Pixielicious said, Timon also refered to Nala as a 'him'. It's just a matter of speech; when looking at an animal, you mind usually thinks of 'him' so you refer to it as a 'him' until you find it's gender. I bet Zira was just so excited about fighting she forgot all about these, lol.

Whew, I got carried away...again.
