Was Scar Around For Kovu's Birth?

in the books when Kopa dies Vitani is allowed to visit Kopas body as they were good friends which suggest they were banished after Scars death but only a short time after. icant say one way or the other just some extra info for you

There are NO books that say that. Please get your facts straight. If there was any official proof about that, then KM wouldn't have made this thread, so...

It was never said Kopa died/dissapeared and since Kovu has all the signs of an teenage lion while Kopa doesn't it's a fact Kovu is older.

I have a theory
I think that Zira was crazy in the coconut. i think that Scar didn't neccesarily choose Kovu, that he mightv'e just said something like "he could make a good king" and then Zira took it literally and went nutty trying to fulfill it. Come on, it's plausible. She is kinda cooko.
I do think that Kovu was born during Scar's reign though.

If Kovu was alive when Scar was, wouldn't he be a lot older than Kiara and Vitani? They look like the same age.

Actually, I have a new theory about this. See cub Kovu? His ear rims are like Simba's as a teen. Maybe Kovu was already a teen (or close to being one), but because of the hot climate of the Pride Lands, his growth slowed down?
