Nala's Father

Those are the things that would make the movie unnecessarily complicated, as it's not very vital to the story, so they were left out.

Indeed, though it seems a bit more complicated trying to resolve relationships when we cannot be certain who fathered who...

It's just cause we are die-hard TLK fans and cant' let the matter go. People who don't care so much about TLK don't eve notice these kinds of things.
If you look at it logically, you have the main characters, if there was any relation going on between them, it would have been mentioned in the movie. Such an important thing wouldn't be left out. So that leaves me to the conclusion that only a rogue or an unmentioned lion is Nala's father.
The fact that Simba and Nala are siblings/cousins would <not> necessarily be added to the movie. In fact, I think that it's much more likely for the developers to have left that unseemly (from our point of view) detail out. It doesn't add anything to the story, and only serves to turn an audience off. A better conclusion is that Scar or Mufasa is the father, and that this was pointedly ignored in the movie. Which is what the director confirmed in the interview.

I don't agree with that. Because, first of all, this is a Disney movie, therefore incest can be automatically excluded. And on the other side, yes, they ignored the matter to fir all the screen time in, but it's not due to the fact that they didn't pay attention to the detail that Simba and Nala were cousins/siblings but to the fact that they couldn't be bothered to introduce another character as Nala's father. Nala is not so much in the spotlight that it would be necessary to do so, we barely even know anything about Sarafina.
And another fact that backs this theory up is the fact that Kovu isn't Scar's son. It's not directly connected, but if you look at it,it's basically the same issue with involved incest. However, this time, since it was much more vital to the story,a few lines were dropped telling that Scar isn't Kovu father. Now when you look at this, you know that in the TLK universe, incest is not present, because if it was,Kovu would have remained Scar's son.
And neither Scar nor Mufasa never spoke a single word to neither Sarafina nor Nala.

You can't automatically exclude something from Disney movies just because some people might find it distasteful. There are cases in other movies that point heavily towards out-and-out racism in much earlier films. The fact that it's incest and it's a disney movie isn't a convincing argument.

There isn't much I can say to counter those. The only real thing supporting the idea that Simba and Nala were related is the fact that it's cannon, and is endorsed by the creators. If you turn a blind eye to that, I suppose anything is feasible.

Ok here is a summary about this debate i have seen strerring for a long time and heres a littles chart about

Nala's father theroy
Mufasa
Why
he is the dominant male

has the pridelander look that Nala would inherit

problems

Inheritance diesese for Nala and Simba's cub(s)

Scar
Why
Is a male lion

Rumors persit that Sarafina loved Scar

Problems
Inheritance diease for Nala and Simba's cub(s)

Nala would have outsider look

Very unlikely Scar would "get any action"

Ni
Why
Is a male lion

Sarafina regard him as handsome

Problems

Is just too young

Unknown father
Why
Would rule out all problems
