the Simba - Kimba controversy

I havent actually watched the Kimba series, I have only seen sites that point at the similarities between the movies.

Personally, I could care less about Kimba (lol dung heap) :P

In my eyes, TLK is an original movie, not a remake of, or rip-off from Kimba. So what if they have some similarities? There’s nothing wrong with Disney making a movie that was inspired from another movie.
Just look at how many movies they’ve made that’s been based on books and fairytales.

TLK is just.. epic. I don’t care where the inspiration to the story came from.

While you read this I want you to understand that I don't deny the similarities.

I honestly don't understand where the is rip-off here. I mean it's not because two movies or TV shows have similar pictures, characters, environments, names... or whatever else similar that we can talk about a rip-off. Plus I sadly only see people bragging about the side of the nasty Disney company with their supposed rip-off, and not the differences. Plus many a lot of these people don't know that Osamu Tezuka was a huge Disney fan, and have always wanted to see Kimba adapted by Disney. His wish has been realized, so why should we continue to think these stupidities.
Come on everybody!

You know what, I'm going to watch Jungle Emperor Leo to see these so-called similiarities. Either way, people need to learn how to distinguish what is a direct rip-off, and what is an inspired work. Even if people want to think TLK is a rip-off of the Kimba series, then to be fair, Kimba is a rip-off of Disney's Bambi because Osamu Tezuka adapted the story for the Kimba series (with permission from Walt Disney).

If you ask me, some of the similiarities originate from the fact that TLK and Kimba took inspiration from Bambi, and what took place during the production of TLK. For example, Claw was a rouge lion who wants to get rid of Kimba's family so he can become the Jungle Emperor for himself. With Scar, he was originally a rogue lion, but was rewritten into being a member of the royal family so there can be "darkness within the royal family", and wanting to get rid of Simba's family so he can become king comes from the fact that his character is adapted from Claudius from Hamlet. As we all know, Disney has a long tradition of adding darker colors to the villain characters so that's why Scar has brown fur and a black mane like Claw does.

Finally, Kimba and The Lion King may have their similiarites, but their stories are completely different:

-There were no humans in The Lion King and in the Kimba the White Lion series, there are.
-In the Kimba series, there is a conflict between animals and humans; in TLK, there is a conflict between lions and hyenas.
-Simba was born in the savannah plains of the Pride Lands, but Kimba was born in a ship.
-Both of Kimba's parents were killed: his father was killed by hunters, and his mother drowned. Simba's father, Mufasa, was murdered, but his mother, Sarabi, was kept alive.
-Simba's father was murdered by his uncle, Scar, but Kimba's father, Caesar, was murdered by Ham Egg, a hunter.
-Simba lives knowing who his parents are, but sadly for Kimba, he didn't.
-Simba had an evil uncle, but Kimba had an evil aunt.
-The comical hyenas in the Kimba not only work for Claw, but also for a black panther named Sylvester. The comical hyenas in TLK work only for Scar.
-Both of Kimba's parents appeared on the sky. However, only Simba's father appeared on the sky as a ghost.
-Simba ran away from home into the jungle because he was convinced by Scar that he was responsible for his father's death. Kimba entered into the jungle, because there was a storm in the sea after his mother drowned, and was washed away by the ocean.
