What the heck is wrong with reflections?!

well, who says they can't just see their own reflection? the only reason Simba saw Mufasa the second time is cause Rafiki touched the water and made it all magical lol. and the only reason Kovu saw Scar was cause he had that scar then and everyone kept trying to compare him to Scar. besides, Scar isn't related to Kovu at all.

as to Kiara, that was trying to get her to understand the we are one thing with the Outlanders and Pridelands, as well as her and Kovu were meant to be together. if Mufasa could knock that gourd off Rafiki's stick and crack it to give him the message for his plan to have Kiara and Kovu together, then who says it wasn't him making half of Kiara's reflection disappear hmm?

Uh, they saw what they saw for a reason...

with Simba, the entire scene was about how Mufasa "lives" in him

With Kovu, it was showing how his scar made him look like the lion he was trained to avenge

And Kiara's half reflection was more symbolic of how earlier she'd said that she didn't want to be a princess, it's only HALF of who she is... And that reflection was symbolic of how she was searching for her "other half"

I think it'd be weirder if everyone saw wierd faces staring back at them out of the water []iall[/i] the time. Much better this way, when only in two cases, where there was strong metaphorical reasons for the illusions do you see someone else.

aint Muffasa's reflection comes up when Simba's looks at the water symbolize "he Lives In You"

Actually, I've read that Scar appeared on Kovu's reflection because Kovu didn't protect his legacy, which means he didn't kill Simba and avenge him. And I still don't get how can random reflections appear there. Either the water is magical or either Rafiki is a wizard to me. @_@ I mean. one of them saw his father, another one of them saw someone that was supposed to avenge and another one saw a half of her reflection? It confuses me. I know it's symbolic, but... Mufasa's ghost sounds more logical to me.

when Kiara looks in the water and see the half of her and that other half is Kovu... kinda saying Kovu completes her.

i think its because of mufasa is dead and so is scar so then kiara just saw her missing half. in the begining of the movie, She says "I'm not just a princess, you know. That's only half of who I am!" So she also says it too. but she doesnt know who her other half is.
