Well when I was younger I used to watch Disney Channel all the time. I remember I used to love Teacher's Pet, The Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog and Timon and Pumbaa. I used to pretend to be Timon and Pumbaa as a toddler. I only remember one time as a toddler watching The Lion King. I remember vividly Mufasa's death and how I was more confused by it than sad (Now it makes me want to cry).

Then in Elementary school The Lion King 1 1\5 came out. I asked my mom to buy it and she did. I really loved it. I already loved Timon and Pumbaa so that may have been one of the reasons. I also really loved the characters Ma and Max. I still do love this movie actually.

Now how I learned of my all time favorite movie The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

I have books called Disney's Year Books that are anthology of Disney stories. There was one called "A friend in need" in the 1999 book with Kovu and Kiara. I was confused, because I didn't know who they were.

Then I remember I saw an animash once with Kovu and Kiara. Since I had forgotten a lot of The Lion King at this point I thought she was Nala and she was cheating on Simba.

Then I learned about it being a different movie and watched it.

Over time Simba's Pride became my all time favorite movie and Kiara my all time favorite character.

The first time I ever watched TLK was back in 2003 when I was 7 years old. When I attended elementary school, my music teacher used to sing songs with us that came from different movies and watch the classics (especially musicals). Out of all them that I remember we watched, they were The Wizard of Oz and TLK. Two songs we sang from TLK were "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" and "Hakuna Matata". I had a lot of fun singing the songs and watching the movie in class. I can't remember, but I believe I watched until either half of the movie to the scene where Simba meets Timon and Pumbaa or until the final battle between Simba and Scar.

When I was from the age of 9 until 12, the Madagascar movies took up the majority of my life and I used to be obsessed with them (which I'm not anymore and dislike them now). I watched the first movie every weekend and had fun with it. I saw the second movie on its premiere date, November 7th, 2008. I even saw it two weeks later, so twice in the same month. About a month later, I had nostalgia feelings come back to me about my elementary days since I graduated the fifth grade and headed to the sixth grade. I kept thinking about the times during music class and asked myself if I ever did watch The Lion King and then it hit me. I decided to watch it again after several years and kept saying, "I remember this part!" and "Wow! This is amazing!". After watching the first movie, I watched SP and 1 1/2 for my first time since I didn't see them when I was little. I loved SP and I thought 1 1/2 was okay, but not as good as the first two films.

And ever since....I've remained as a big TLK fan from that point 5 years ago.

I saw the actual Broadway musical when I was 15. My mom took me to see it as my birthday present, which was 3 days after my birthday. I also got to see the original film 3D release in theaters on September 18th, 2011, which was 2 days after it's release date. I was so happy that I got to see it because I obviously didn't get to back in 1994 since I wasn't even born yet. I finally had my chance.
