Sebastian from Disney's
The Little Mermaid reminds of me of Zazu. Both are the king's royal servant and are sent by the protaganist's parent to watch over them. Both Ariel and Simba escape Sebastian and Zazu after a musical number occurs, and are scolded by their fathers for entering into forbidden territory.
Kiara is very similiar to Ariel because they are young, rebellious, and sheltered princesses who defy their father's plea to enter into forbidden territory outside the kingdom. Also, both of their fathers send chaperones to protect them. After entering into the forbidden territory, they fall in love with a young male of a different group (for Kiara, romance begins to take shape when she is a young adult, but you get the idea). At the end, both princesses end with their respective lovers.
Simba (in
Simba's Pride) has a likeness to King Triton as they are the kings of their respective kingdom. They have rebellious, young daughters who go across the boundaries (enhabited by a group they hate; for Simba, it's the Outsiders, and for Triton, it's the humans) they set for, and they scold them for it. Their daughters fall in love with a young male, and in the end, they accept their future son-in-laws, and an union is made between the different groups (Pridelanders and Outsiders/mer-people and humans).
Going along with the TLM thing here...
Ursula & Zira--Both were banished by kings, both want to use the king's daughter as a means of getting revenge, and both are exceedingly dangerous and violent who ultimately attempt to destroy the protagonist but end up dead.
Except even Zira looks at least more pretty then Ursula
