I'll make this short since I have to leave for school very quickly but...
The crocs in TLK2 seemed to be larger, of course they would have grown as well... However, the crocs in TLK1 had birds in their mouth without eating them, which means they had plenty of food.
Eh... yes and no. They probably did have plenty of food, but the birds are no indication of that. A little more must be understood both about the crocodile and the bird.
The bird isn't just any bird. It is known as a "crocodile bird" (wow, original), and actually has a relationship with crocodiles. The crocodile bird scavenges food out of the crocodile's mouth (from the rest of the croc, too) to survive, which actually helps the crocodile almost like a dentist. It's weird, but that's what happens.

http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/top ... odile-birdAlso, there's something interesting about Crocodiles that could be an explanation. Crocodiles have what's known as a "feast and famine" lifestyle. They eat a ton at once (for example, a whole water buffalo), then don't eat for months. And the "feasts" and "famines" for crocodiles occur pretty consistently. Perhaps IJCWtbK took place in one of the famine cycles, while the Kovu and Kiara scene took place when they were finally hungry?
But I doubt they were the same crocodiles either. Especially since, you know, everything died and the river dried up in the middle of TLK1.
