So the stuff that reminded me of this article is that Antoine Bueno wrote a book called The Small Blue Book which says that

"Smurfs society," writes Bueno by way of hypothesis in his work of spoof scholarship, "is an archetype of a totalitarian utopia" bearing the hallmarks of Stalinism and Nazism.

Also recently a guy in another forum wrote about his crazy Machiavellian political interpretation of TLK, which I'll translate soon.
"The more we find out about the universe, the more meaningless it all seems...... The effort to understand the universe is one of the very few things that lifts human life a little above the level of farce, and gives it some of the grace of tragedy."

Wow, the person who wrote that article FAILS. First of all, it's never stated anywhere in the film that Scar is gay, and if this person had done their research, they would have found out that Scar is quite the womanizer. Second, the hyenas are not black. They're hyenas. The reason they are oppressed is that lions and hyenas are natural enemies in real life. And Simba challenges Scar to the throne because that's what real lions do - they get exiled from their prides, and sometimes males return as adults and challenge the leader to regain the rights to the "throne".

Obviously, whoever wrote that article hasn't watched a nature documentary on lions before, and has no right to claim that animals don't really act that way *facepaw*

I'm also very much for positive gay characters, but it ticked me off how the writer of the article just assumed Scar was gay
