TLK universe side details

I have alwase thought it was interesting that Disney writers have gone out of their way to make these side drama points in the TLK universe. For example Nala's dad, or the fact that Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu aren't really children of Scar. I wanted to see if anyone else hear thought the same thing, please add more of these side deatales if you know any, or have any questions about them.

Up until TLK 1.5 - how Timon and Pumbaa met. And because 1.5 isn't exactly 100% fitting with the original plot, and therefore can be considered as second-rate canon, even that can still be argued.
