Why were the hyenas exiled?

They were likely kicked out around Tale of Two Brothers because they're "nothing but slobbery, mangy, stupid poachers."

Well, that might be the case TPAM, but I tend to believe that that particular label is unecessary and for a lion do deem them as such is not very respectable. This is perhaps a sign of a discriminatory attitude ditched by the creators of TLK via the humanization of the characters involved. In RL, lion and Hyenas don't get along, so this is a true dynamic, but in this case, it seems a personal dispute more than a race wide problem....

I think they maybe might even choose to live in the elephant graveyard and come to the pridelands to eat maybe they got exiled for eating a particular lion or something

Personally, I think something similar to what they do in TLK, had occurred before TLK once before. Maybe when Mufasa was a cub perhaps? Afterall, it would kind of fit in with the plot since Muffy already disliked them and din't want Simba to go anywhere near them as soon as he mentioned the outlands.

Obviously they posed a danger to young lion cubs (future kings/queens of the Pridelands), and had to be banished. No other animal ever tried to eat or purposely hurt a member of the royal pride (wildebeest don't count - they were running in a blind panic), nor was any other carnivore such fierce competition for the same food.

I know that the hyneas were the bad ones here but I do wonder where they dissappeared too since they weren't in TLK2 (since they wouldn't be needed in the movie). They were in TLK1, then disappear in TLK2, and then come back in TLK 1 1/2.
They dont "come back",1 1/2 is set in the time of the first film.
I know that TLK 1 1/2 is set in the time of TLK1 but I was meaning it in a different way. Just to make myself clear.

Amanda basically said it. The hyena's are bad news to any pride and for the sake of their cubs they need to be banished so they can grow to be guardians for the next generation to come.
