Pumbaa's past... What do you think happened?

What do you think happened to Pumbaa that led him to a life without any companion - prior to meeting Timon and later Simba? How did he part with his family? I've always wondered about all the missing details regarding his character.

He assassinated JFK, was on the run from the FBI. His name was Lee Harvey Oswald but he had to change it to Pumbaa.
The FBI wanted the public to believe that he was killed soon after but Disney knew the truth.
