I'm just popping in here to leave some food for thought. Compassion and Neutrality over actions by the staff team on this forum, have to go through both sides. Members shouldn't post about private moderator actions on the forum - and moderator's should do such a thing either. I think that while it's important for the staff to keep a nice neutral approach and not be hostile and passive aggressive themselves, I also think it's up to us members to not eat into the bait and allow ourselves to become a worse community as a result.
And to those saying they don't see the "Toxicity" on the forum, just think of the fact that just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. To give such a statement is to indirectly give passiveness on the idea that there is anything wrong going on in the forum. We need
awareness - not passiveness, that's what this topic is about.
We can't go forward as a friendly community until we admit there's a problem, and even if you, or I for that matter personally don't like that it has this problem, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I do understand that a lot of it is very subtle and a lot of people aren't going to see or even get what it is that is being talked about, but acknowledging the fact that the forum is losing activity because some members are feeling unwelcome on both sides is a good step towards the change that we're looking for. As a community we can combat the negativeness that has happened over the last few months, and grow as a whole out of it.
I'm calling here for everyone to take what Moka said here very seriously - as a community we have to set an example for the newer people that come on, otherwise no one new will ever want to come and make this wonderful forum active.
