This would make me so happy if she does get more screen. She is my favorite character and she got almost no time in SP.

I don't think they'll focus much on the original characters, so I highly doubt that this will happen. The main character is Kion and the rest of The Lion Guard after all.

It would be nice to see her get more screen time though.

Even if she is a side character i'm willing to bet she will get more character development than she got in sp. which was almost nothing.

Seriously, <3 nala but she was almost as bad as sarafina in tlk 1 in terms of development.

True, but as the parents of the star of the show I think Simba and Nala would make more frequent guest appearances than other characters (Except perhaps Kiara). Also if the rumors of Moira Kelly returning to voice Nala turn out to be true. The I could see Nala getting even more guest appearances than Simba. However I don't like to put much faith in rumors.

Even if she does get more screen time then the other original characters, it's probably going to be very little.

I think Nala will have more screen time as said. At the end of every episode Kion will go to his mother and tell her about his adventure, which is really just a summary of the episode. Or it can probably be Simba, since Kion wants to tell him how good of king he will be in the future
