I'm sure Lion King will explode in stores once it's re-released!

I think this is going to get me shot, but I think this will either Ruin TLK or save it after the bad reviews of 1 1/2.

Personally, I think it will ruin it as the entire film would need redrawn for a 3D effect. If it is aced into a converter, with chari's detailed, it will be rubbish, and if they change the draw style to that of (for example) Bolt standard, then the film will be ruined.

I thunk we are looking at a dissappointment

No offence but have you ever made a 3D film? Or in this case, converted a video into 3D? Because Toy Story looks fine in 3D and so do plenty of others. I doubt it's half as complicated as you just made it out to be.

I strongly doubt they're reanimating it, given the details we've already gotten from Beauty and the Beast 3D. They showed a clip of it at Comicon 2 years ago I believe, and it was not completely redone.

Well, if they are not going to redo-it, they're gonna convert it, which isn't the highest quality 3-D on the market based on what I've heard till now...

thats what they did to several films, if the film isn't shot in 3D then it wont be good in 3D. thats the reason Avatar 3D was so successful, because it was intended to be shot in 3D. They can be converted back, but not the other way without ruining the film
