I read about that too. I just... Huh? :? Something tells me a certain scene will be pure nightmare fuel now.

I'm glad Lion Guard will be a preschool show as opposed to that. It's funny, because when I was younger, I used to imagine a preschool show based on Lion King anyway :P
Today disney announced a live action dumbo remake directed by tim burton. No I am not even kidding a single bit.

I'd take a disney jr lion king tv series over something like THAT any day of the week. Outside of his 80's movies i immensely dislike tim burton and did something like dumbo really need a live action remake?
No, it doesn't. However, Disney has found a winning formula on producing live-adaptations of their classic animated films in Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Maleficent with live-action remakes of Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Cruella, and Beauty and the Beast to follow. Since Tim Burton worked his magic on Alice in Wonderland, which grossed over $1 billion, I'm sure that's why Disney offered him the job.

Not to mention, I'm curious how his version of "Pink Elephants on Parade" would turn out.

Well, they did make a lot of money but i never really cared for any of them.

However I do hope the jungle book remake is good, the voice acting cast is spectacular.

I didn't know that The Lion Guard would be about the world's sustainability and environment. I just found out, on a Portuguese article.

Being that conservation will be a them on the show does anyone think it is possible that The Lion Guard may face some human adversaries, or more likely Human made problems?

I hope not. If that will be the case, I am hoping that it will take the angle that the movie took: it doesn't take a human to destroy an ecosystem (invasive species much?)

Remember how Mufasa taught Simba about the Circle of Life and how everything is connected. Then when Scar takes over and lets the hyenas run rampant, the entire ecosystem collapses. A great lesson on why you should take care of your home, and not a human in sight.

Excellent Point DGFone. I wasn't to keen on the idea of humans showing up in The Lion Guard, Your statement reminds me that they are unnecessary to move the story forward.
