Whether they are or not, some of us have 0 use for them. I don't know about the others, but I don't use iTunes at all and I never will again. I don't like it. If you try going with something like that, you need to find a way to make sure the person you got will have use for it first.

What's with all this talk about itunes cards??

In my experience with these gift giving things on MLK you didn't physically buy something for the person - everybody made something of some sort (I last year recorded video of myself playing TLK songs on piano, for instance)

I don't know about anyone else but I know I wouldn't feel comfortable spending actual money for someone I didn't know very well online

Well if you enter and get me, I'll take an iTunes card. Can never have enough Men Without Hats in my life. I think iTunes cards are region locked BTW FYI FTW and other such acronyms.
But yeah, there's nothing saying you can't gift E-purchases to other people (like a Steam game or something for instance) just make sure the person can actually use it is all
