Well, at least let's hope that Disney will pull it off properly. What I am quite hoping for is that if the show will be a huge success, then Disney will realize that traditional animation is not a dead horse, and that CGI is not the only form of animation. In other words, I am quite looking forward to more traditionally animated films.

But if the show will be any good, I will settle for that too.

Kion being born after the events of Simba's Pride does raise some interesting questions about what Simba and/or Nala were thinking at the end of that movie:

SIMBA (thinking): Well...I've finally put my prejudices behind me, the Pride Lands are now at peace, my little girl is all grown up and has found someone that she truly loves, and I finally have someone who will rule the kingdom by her side and carry on my family's bloodline... [pause] You know...I think Nala and I should have another cub.

I think it was more like this:

Simba: Well, I've finally put my prejudices behind me, the Pride Lands are now at peace, our little girl is all grown up and has found someone that she truly loves, and we finally have someone who will rule the kingdom by her side and carry on our family's bloodline...

Nala: This seems like a cause for celebration. Since we finally have time to stop worrying about things, I have a few ideas... *Nala eyes*
