Lion King Goes 3D

People seem to be confused and mixing the concepts between CGI-movie and a 3D one. All of Pixar's movies are CGI:ed and the newer ones have also been shown in 3D- version where you have to wear the glasses. In the case of Beauty and the Beast it is the latter one and that will also be with The lion King.

Currently they are converting Beauty and the Beast into 3D-version, originally it was supposed to have premiere 2011 when it would have been the 20th anniversary for it but Disney seems to have pushed it so I'm suspecting that we won't see any Lion King 3D in a near future. :thoughtful2:

I'd prefer that Disney pushed things back rather than rushing to a half-baked finish--particularly at this state when no specific release date has been given and all that's been said about TLK3D is that it will come.

As the old adage goes, "Do it properly or do it over."

Rushing things has screwed up too many movies/games in the past. The profits just aren't worth the failure in sheer number of possible flaws. :(

another TLK would be a great way to bring in new TLK fans. It took watching TLK on Broadway to get me back into it.
