That's how I find a lot of fresh news quickly. A lot of it deals with the broadway musical tour dates and reviews, but there are fascinating news articles that pop up every now and then.

what i've found so far, via google, is several official sites that announce the release dates of frozen 2 and tlk remake. no footage or conceptual art yet. i think we might get a title card logo at the end of this year... but that's my personal guess.

Yeah, I'd be amazed (and a little worried!) if we had a teaser trailer before the end of the year. I think we'll definitely get a full cast and crew list by the end of 2017, though.

that's realistic to expect, maybe they'll give us a taste of the art style too. i think the promo period will be comparible to Beauty and the Beast.

It's also possible that some of the lionesses up and left. I know, seems a bit difficult to do with all the hyenas but if Nala could pull it off, I'm sure others could.

Would be amazing if they could somehow work Zira in, should they plan on (a) sequel(s) that keep to the canon of SP.

Apparently at a recent Donald Glover concert/performance, he revealed that JD McCray will voice cub Simba. Take it with a pinch of salt, but I am enjoying the idea of relatively unknown talents getting the chance at stardom.

I think another user has already posted about this, but there's going to be a Lion King event at D23 on July 16th. Tony Bancroft and Mark Henn are going to be representing the animators, and they're planning on sharing some behind the scenes stuff. They've also mentioned that there's going to be some surprises. I know it's very early, but I'm wondering if we might get poster art/sneak peaks of the remake. They're bound to talk about it at some point during the event.
