Fuli

Postby gothprincesskiara » August 21st, 2015, 5:20 am

Ok this just continues to Bother me, the design of Fuli is fine and they added her speed and all but one thing that I just cant get over is her Circles, CHEETAHS HAVE SPOTS NOT CIRCLES, leopards have circle like rosettes but not cheetahs, they screwed this up on her, what was wrong with just putting simple spots on her, I just don't like what they did with her coat. :amnot: ugh How do I get over this? I mean Everything I have closed my case on, but this is the last thing I need to make sense of

She's probably a king cheetah of some sort: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheetah#King_cheetah

But just remember, she could have looked much worse. I don't think her design is bad at all, i mean it is a Disney Junior show after all (which is also airing on the Disney channel in general).

Cheetahs also don't run fast for anything other than short sprints - a trait shared among all cats.

As KionTLG just mentioned, her design could have been much worse. So as far as things that The Lion King in general gets wrong about animals, the design is a very small list among an entire list of far greater sins.

You are correct dg. The last time I went to a zoo I expected the animals to talk in various accents and for them to perform elaborate broadway showtunes.

I was sorely dissapointed by this not happening.

Yup. And to look on the brighter side of things outside of character designs, i think that this show might blow the Timon and Pumbaa series out of the water if done right.

I think her design is a little bit based on the animals in the first movies song "just cant wait to be king" where the animals have the same shapes and styling. I actually like her design, even though her design is completely different from earlier TLK universe cheetahs (like cheetato and cheetata from the timon and pumbaa series, the cheetah in "circle of life" or the cheetahs in "not one of us" tlk 2) I am curious how she will move and talk, and I hope she blends in with the other animated characters.

At least she has the sleek body of a cheetah, I'm O.K. with her being a King Cheetah (I didn't know about the name of this variation until it was used to describe Fuli) aside from Kion she is the Lion Guard member I am looking forward to finding out about the most.

I think that is obvious from the clip we have seen. I have no doubt that this show will be far better than Timon and Pumbaa.

Looking back on it I think The Timon and Pumbaa was never intended to be anything other than a joke. Just a lot of wacky with Timon and Pumbaa

Getting back to Fuli, I am wondering how Kion will recruit her into The Lion Guard? going by how annoyed she was with Bunga hitching a ride, she might not be a team player.
