I gotta disagree with the animation being bad. It's pretty darned good considering how this is a tv movie, disney isn't going to spend as much time or money on it as if it were theatrical or even dtv.

Not to mention the state of western tv animation is positively dreadful. By an art/animation perspective (not a writing thing).

The designs are a little off in tlg but they aren't abominations like the new scooby doo/alvin and the chipmunks/inspector gadget. Rick and morty/archer, while containing quality writing are eyesores.

Gravity falls/steven universe: decent writing and animation, but the designs are repugnant.

Then there's uncle grandpa which is offensive in writing quality and aesthetics.

The only thing I see that is better than tlg in animation and designs is the new my little pony. The writing is decent in it as well.

And as we have mention and brought up many times before, don't forget these animators and designers ARE NOT the same ones from our beloved films that we hold dear to our hearts, these are new designers and new creates so, new workers new looks, that's what we have to deal with, funny I even have this motto, out with the old in with the new, for me that's for cleaning and clearing for more space and new stuff, But I don't like it when it comes to movie makers or designers, I like the classic and tradition I hate how they have to keep switching out new people for new movies and shows with stories that keep going, but again we have complained about this to, WE NEED TO GET OVER IT, this is what we see this is what we get, accept it, get used to it and move on, its gonna take some time for me to accept that Kiara is a cub now and my heart is actually broken over it. Anyway we will see what the next trailer shall give us.

Looks everyone is excited ( and maybe disappointed ) about Return Of The Roar.

That is basically how I feel about Kiara being a cub in this series, however the only thing that this hurts is my enthusiasm for the show. I've gone from being excited, back to being cautiously optimistic. In any event I need to see the show and find out what Disney has in mind. Before I become actually upset. After all the show could and I stress could be so well written that nothing gets retconed away. After all if they wanted to forget that Lion King 2 even happened. Then why even have Kiara? the fact that she is in the series (Even if it is as a cub) gives me hope that they are not trying to disavow Lion King 2. Although what makes my heart sink is that it looks as if we are not getting a true third installment of the Lion King after all I will not give up hope of what this series could be (or could hopefully lead to). I would just feel so much better if I knew what Disney's intentions were story-wise.

Guys, chill out. I think Disney knows what they're doing and will probably have a story of why Kion wasn't in the lion king 2 you guys are stressing and that isn't needed because what happens happens, but, just think: All these new characters! New Merch! And the kids of today get to be re introduced to our favourite childhood movie!

yeah, but Disney also had some really bad unnecessary shows too, and that we are all different here, so depending on our differences and what shows we dont like and we think are bad, I just hope they dont screw this up, they BETTER have an explanation and in details, cause Im into what tradition we are familiar with, and its hard to except that we are facing new way new designs and new style. But again what will be will be and we will have to work around with what ever may not make sense according to what we know of TLK history and future, im sure we will manage.
