Y'know, I really don't understand the logic behind "we want to focus on this show, so no new episodes of this other show!" I understand networks have timeslots in which they usually air new episodes, but couldn't they air a few new episodes of other shows in other timeslots as well? If, for example, new episodes are usually shown at 7pm, couldn't new episodes for other shows be shown at 6pm? You have promotional commercials and whatnot to let people know that it'll be at a different time. And I get why some timeslots would be bad for airing new episodes, but I'd think if kids can view stuff at 7pm, they'd be able to catch a 6pm showing roughly as well. Or 8pm.
I dunno, just seems like a better solution to me than putting off new episodes of a show and causing needless hiatuses. I suspect it's part of what put Steven Universe on a months-long hiatus, just because CN wanted to roll out the new PPG reboot. I don't see what would have been so difficult about airing a new episode here or there during that time. I would completely understand if new episodes weren't ready to air, but with SU and now TLG, clips of episodes are surfacing long before they air, proving that the higher-ups who decide when things air are just sitting on episodes.
