Loved the episode, for the most part! Got me so hyped! Thought Zira's song was kinda meh at first, but it's grown on me since. Loved seeing all the characters, including having Jasiri back. :)

The few issues I had: Ending felt a bit rushed and meh. I would've loved if it was actually true that Kion couldn't use his Roar against other lions, since I'm not a big fan of the Roar anyway. The action scenes have gotten a lot better, but still aren't super impressive. The animation in walking/action scenes could use quite a bit of work, still. Third and last, this episode is supposed to take place AFTER Kovu has already met Kiara, but it also shows how Zira and her clan ended up in the termite lands. Major plot hole there, since they were already in the termite lands at the beginning of Simba's Pride. I mean, I don't care all that much, since I consider The Lion Guard an alternate timeline from the movies, anyway. But still, as loyal as they're trying to be to the movies, that's kind of an annoying mistake. Just as the timelines were beginning to match and make sense.

Agreed. I think my headcanon from here on out will be that those were actually a different cluster of termite mounds, a bit far away from the first one. It's the only solution I can see to reconciling this mistake.

I agree as well. I believe that where The Outsiders ended up at the end of the episode was just eerily similar to where they were at the beginning of Lion King 2

once again my friend, as I have told others
Zira saying our new home when they were already in the termite infested outlands before the song we are one. but my guess is either she was being sarcastic and they would migrate throughout different part of the outlands and circulate to returning to other parts of the outlands, but im also up for other ideas for explaining this last part.

They could've been in the termite lands before, went back to the outlands, and ended up back in the termite lands at the end of the episode. But the episode is obviously trying to give us an explanation on how they ended up in the termite lands, and it's a clear continuation error.

Though, one could use the excuse that the termite land scene in TLK2 doesn't take place right after "We Are One", but at some later, undisclosed time. And when Zira is talking to Kovu in that scene, she's referring to some other time Kovu met up with Kiara, instead of when they escaped from the crocodiles. I know that's silly, but if you wanna fit TLG into the movie timelines, that's literally the only possible explanation.

I usually don't think much about these things, cause I don't care much. Continuation and fitting timelines aren't that important to me. But it's nice to ponder. ;)

I love how this thread has more posts then anything else on this board, simply because the outlanders are in it

It was a good episode tho
