they mostly are doing that song because of simba and bunga getting trapped in a sink hole mostly bunga does because he jumps in to save simba. and i guess they talk together and find out they both have something in comin. both being adopted by timon and pumbaa.

So I was checking my recording for the Next TLG episode and it now looks like they moved it to Saturdays, I wonder why thats why they had it play last Friday night instead of Friday morning, did anyone notice this by the way or have the same schedule?

they took it off for next friday because they want a marathon of mickey mouse club house and a new episode of both mickey and sophia it may be on friday after next disney does that a lot i dont know why there haveing a marithon of mickey but thats why lion guard is not on next friday

I don't like that Simba's role is purely ceremonial. He is never shown doing anything. All problems are resolved mostly by Kion. Kion even has a privilege to miss sugnificunt events.

With the possible exception of leading the Migration (Which Simba placed The Lion Guard in charge of), anything The Lion Guard has handled haven't been a huge deal. running off some invaders, looking after animals in the face of bad weather. All these things don't require the attention of The King (At least not now that there is a Lion Guard to take care of it). Now if some rogue lions tried to overthrow Simba I doubt it would be The Lion Guard that would confront that. That would be Simba's job.

Also Kion is only allowed to miss significant events if his responsibilities as Leader of The Lion Guard interfere with said event.

It is obvious that having The Lion Guard has made Simba's job much easier, but I don't think it has reduced Simba to merely being a Figurehead Monarch.

I mean, there was kind of a whole song about the stuff Simba needs to do as king. Just saying. And it makes sense for the guard to save animals and drive off unwanted predators. It's not like Simba can be everywhere.
