Well Kiara is the future ruler of the pridelands and Kion has already shown himself to be a competent leader so it makes sense that he would need to nurture kiara more.

The ruler of the pridelands makes the big decisions in the pridelands while the lion guard protects it.

It could also be that Disney underestimated how popular Jasiri would be and didn't make any plans to capitalize on her popularity.

As for Bunga being the one to misunderstand what Raifiki's painting can do. It is because he is the character most likely to get something wrong. Yes Bunga has made mistakes before, but as he is the character most prone to overlook details. He is also most likely to make a mistake again.

Also Kion made the mistake of thinking that Fuli should never be left alone in Fuli's New Family. he was also the one that let Dogo into The Pride Lands. So he has made some mistakes.

The Mbali Fields Migration is set in The Outlands. Perhaps The Lion Guard will need Jasiri's help to get the herd safely through?

With Bunga and The King I will be shocked if Simba doesn't already know Bunga's back story. I'm sure Simba would be well aware of Timon and Pumbaa taking in another animal. Especially his son's best friend.

I was watching the teamfourstar april fools joke (they do dbz abridged aka the funniest anime spoof dub ever) and it was an abridged version of the first digimon film. In it leomon is really into 'the lion guard'

The show is really reluctant to show the gazelles as intelligent. They're the only animal in the show who hasn't spoken, to my knowledge, and they're also the ones the "good" characters freely hunt. In today's episode, they rescue a trapped gazelle who only makes animal noises. The most intelligent thing it does is shake its head "no" to answer a question Bunga asked.

I wonder if they'll ever put one in the show that can talk. I doubt they will.

interesting! most animals can talk, but the little critter that re-appears, the hyrax it is called i think.. they can also not speak, they make squeeky noises. the zebras do talk.. at least one of them.
