When the series was originally announced I assumed that it was set after Simba's Pride. When I found out it was set within Lion King 2 I was let down somewhat. I still believe (and yes I know I am rehashing a previously made point.) that if they in tended to ignore Lion King 2 I do not see why they would have Kion be Simba And Nala's 2nt born or included Kiara. I have a feeling that our questions about The timeline for this series will be answered in the episode where Kovu, Vitani, and Nuka appear. I also doubt they would be appearing at all if Lion King 2 was going to be ignored.

The only thing about the series that I find annoying at this point is the lack of the other adult lionesses of the the pride. As has been previously stated Simba told Kion that "That there are plenty of good lions for The Guard." I have to ask Where are they Simba? Another thing I think we should have met Tiifu and Zuri's Mothers/Mother by now.

Agreed. By the end of the season, I wanna have seen at least two or three episodes that properly show the whole pride. Also wanna see Simba, Nala, Kiara, Tiifu and Zuri more often, even if just in the background or short scenes.

On completely another note, I'm glad they haven't shown Jasiri in another episode yet, cause I want her to be one of those special friends that only appears a few times during a season, but I'm also having this weird fear where I really hope Jasiri wasn't just a one-time character they plan to never have back in the series. I really liked her and I hope they aren't silly enough to just forget about her. Despite her huge popularity, so far Disney really hasn't marketed her at all in any form or fashion, which makes me kinda worried about the character's future in the show.

Episode descriptions for upcoming episodes.

April 1st - Paintings and Predictions - Believing that Rafiki’s paintings predict the future, Bunga enlists the rest of the Lion Guard to save Kion from danger.

April 22nd - The Mbali Fields Migration - Kion and the Guard must lead a large herd through the Outlands to find a less crowded grazing ground.

April 29th - Bunga and the King - When Bunga and Simba are trapped underground, they discover a shared family background – they were both raised by Timon and Pumbaa.

"Bunga and the King" sounds very interesting. Curious to see how they handle that pair of characters. The original main character and the joke-cracker from the new series put together. Never really put much thought into this, but will be interesting to see what they can learn from each other with this shared background.

"The Mbali Fields Migration" sounds like it's gonna be a decent episode, but hard to tell at this point. Just sounds like it's gonna be a very typical one with not much character-development. But maybe we'll get some good action in that one.

"Paintings and Predictions" sounds good as a story, but they just won't let go with Bunga, will they? I was kinda hoping he wouldn't be much in the limelight until "Bunga and the King". Maybe even not in a couple of episodes at all. The fact that he's a main focus in this one as well has sadly the potential to make both episodes seem less special. Why can't it be someone else taking his place as the silly one for a change? (and yes, I'm assuming he makes a silly mistake of thinking Rafiki can predict the future when he actually can't) Like Ono, that'd be cool. Maybe Timon & Pumbaa or even Tiifu and Zuri. Any of those could work. Heck, let it be Kion and have him make a silly mistake for once. I feel he's really underpresented and undercharacterised for the main protagonist. Just, even as someone who doesn't hate Bunga, he's starting to be a bit too much. Not only is he always in the forefront when the episode is not about him, but he also gets the most episodes dedicated to himself.

And yeah, I know I went those episodes through in reverse order. Worked best that way. :P

Part of me is intrigued by the plot of Bunga and the King, part of me is seriously disappointed because there's so many better avenues to go down with Simba than him talking about how T&P 'raised' him. Timon and Pumbaa have had way too much spotlight already. Although, if there is one thing I'm hoping for, it's Simba teaching Bunga about the dangers of Hakuna Matata. That'd be very interesting to see.

Completely agree with everything you say about Bunga, Kallo. Also, I doubt the Mbali Fields Migration will be the Kovu episode. I have a strong feeling they'll keep that for the season finale.

I have a feeling Simba will get his moments to shine as the series moves on. He's already been handled pretty well. He's been shown as a father, as comic relief, and as a serious leader who the other animals respect. I think it's too early to judge Simba in the show yet. My only problem with him so far is, especially during the first five or so episodes, that he seems to be really favouring Kiara over Kion, which seems rather odd and out of place.
