New episode 'Lions of the outlands'?

Does anyone else think that it's still possible that Zira mated with Scar since even though Rafiki says "her family" but later on Zira says "Scar and I were close, very close" instead of saying something like "Scar and I were close friends" or something like that. What do you guys think? :? :-o

Oh, the seeds were all there; they just threw them away into the breeze like so many Outsider lions...

I actually like the song, especially now that I've taken some time to think about the lyrics and read what other people posted about it. In fact, the more you think about it the more you realize how unchallenged Kion is in his worldview. The only thing one could find objectionable in Zira's points is that she seems to delight, revel even, in the thought of making other animals suffer. Still, I'm really going to miss the 'dark mentor' aspect that we sort of saw in this episode but probably won't see again.

I view the circle of life as less a moral thing and more a rule of nature. Morals do come into play, and are still important, but there are different sets of morals for different worldviews.

The rules of nature aren't as subjective. The natural order of things. Lions rule but they can't just do whatever they want and expect to get away with it. Scar is proof of that. Kion not being allowed to use the roar for evil or malicious acts shows that as well. The circle of life is about respecting nature. The great kings of the past view using the roar for greedy or selfish purposes as something that goes against that.

Zira wanted to trick Kion into thinking he couldn't use the roar on her or other lions, making him powerless if he wanted to help Jasiri.
Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves back up again.

I think that by Kion not believing that Lions ruling over all he thought that Lions couldn't do anything and get away with it and the animals wouldn't accept it like slaves and not desert pride rock.

Which the second half of tlk has shown to be in line with that thought.

The lions technically rule but the circle of life is a higher authority.
If so, they'd ought to have made that clearer. Also, the Circle of Life is like... Morality. Mortality is a higher authority, but a King couldn't enforce his sense of morality in a foregin land. It's the same thing, basically.
Agreed that song was awesome however Zira didn't need to counteract Kion's points because Zira didn't say anything that wasn't true. Lions over all well yeah that is pretty much how things are ran. Lions are absolute in the lion King world and they do rule everything no animal is above them or even equal to them, yeah they respect their rights and ways but all animals follow the king. The Lions rule everything just like Zira said. Crushing any resistance what else does Kion think would happen if there was an uprising the pride would just give up?

Zira didn't just make valid points she spoke the complete truth, Kion is delusional the lions do rule over all, they are above everything and as the guards actions against Janga or any other predator shows they do crush anyone who goes against their way. Zira was right everything she said was the truth Kion was just denying that truth with his black and white viewpoint.

As for your ending I think that could work I thought of a possible ending too in truth any ending that doesn't just have Kion win with the roar yet again like every other episode would've been a better ending.
^^

Cool, what were your idea?

How cool wouldn't it be if Mufasa showed up and scared the Outlanders away? Okay, so the kings of the past can't roar with him outside the pride lands, but they can "go" there. I just cracked up:

Nuka: Harmless?! Ha, ha, you won't pin me down this time!
Kion stumbles backward, startled.
Mufasa appear in the sky with a roar that casts echos all around them, his face grim and furious:
"ZIRA! You and yours will NOT come near my grandson!"

Sure, Mufasa couldn't do anything, being dead and all, but imagine the Outlanders going like "HOOOOLLYYYY SHIIIIT!" and just run like crazy. xD
My idea was for Zira to win in some form. The first is at the end Zira is holding someone captive and threatens to kill them if Kion and the guard don't surrender for dramatic effect it would probably be Bunga. Kion considers using the roar and Zira says he could use it though it might kill his friend like it almost killed his mother (Never roar again would come right before this one). Kion afraid of hurting someone stands down and the guard retreats leaving Zira in control of Jasiri's clan who she provides for to turn them into an eventual army for her.

The second idea is similar but when Kion realizes he can't bring himself to put another at risk Zira releases Bunga and reveals the whole scenario was a test for the guard and Kion and ultimately proved that Kion was not ready to actually decide the survival of other beings. She agrees to peace with Jasiri to make herself look more reasonable. Kion haunted at the idea that he will have to one day choose a life over another turns to Zira to teach him more about the roar so he can become more powerful and insure he is never powerless to help another being the idea would be set up in the last episode of the season Kion would accept Zira's teachings.

It's on the agenda but the truth is I am rather busy at the time so while I will write it eventual I'm afraid it won't be for a little bit, pleased to hear you like them though.

Also which of the two endings do you think works better?

I have never played a role playing game so I can't really answer that I do enjoy occasionally acting out the stories I wrote I in particular like doing Zira scenes as she's my favorite character but beyond that I can't say much I have never played an RPG however I think I'll check out if you give me the link.
But it was never officially confirmed until now.
Uh, doesn't Kovu in SP call Zira "Mother?" :?
"ZIRA: What have I told you about them? KOVU: I'm sorry, Mother. She didn't seem so bad. Oh, I thought we could be…"

Anyhow, the main thing I was wondering for confirmation was whether or not Nuka and Kovu were brothers 8-)

Episode isn't too bad, and nice is all I have to say about Kovu near the end of the episode.
